RXV Wellness Village Review: Thailand’s Best Value Retreat
Would you like a wellness retreat without the luxury price tag? RXV Wellness Village makes this possible. Set on a fifty-acre riverside estate steeped in over sixty years of history, just forty-five minutes from Bangkok . RXV Wellness Village was named Thailand’s Best Wellness Retreat 2025 at the World Spa Awards and is the sister property of the well-known RAKxa Integrative Wellness in Bangkok, bringing the same depth of expertise at a far more accessible price point.
I had stayed at Rakxa Integrative Wellness the year before so was keen to see how this trip would compare. I began my stay with a comprehensive anti ageing consultation with the doctor assessing my physical condition, wellness goals, and lifestyle habits . I was then given an agenda of treatments and activities for my 3 night stay on the destress program. This included a Thai warrior massage, lymphatic facial, myofascia release massage, liver cleanse IV and sound healing.
Every stay regardless of program includes a consultation with the health and wellness doctor, one group wellness activity per night, full-board meals built around RXV’s Rainbow Food concept, daily access to the Bor Naam hydrotherapy garden, airport transfers, and accommodation.
An Overview of The Wellness Programs
RXV Wellness Village structures its offerings around eight program categories, each available across three, five, or seven-night stays, so guests can match the length of their trip to the depth of the program.
- Beauty focuses on skin radiance, posture, and cellular health, paired with nutrition support for a visible glow from within.
- Destress combines mindfulness practices, gentle bodywork, and breathwork to reduce anxiety and mental fatigue.
- Detox supports the body’s natural cleansing systems through gut health therapies, Thai herbal treatments, and targeted nutrition.
- Mindfulness blends guided meditation, movement, and breathwork to build presence and ease mental clutter.
- Physical Rebalance centres on movement therapies, physiotherapy, and fitness sessions to improve alignment and mobility.
- Personalised works differently to the others. Rather than a fixed treatment list, guests receive a treatment credit (from THB 27,000 for three nights up to THB 77,000 for seven nights) to build their own program with a wellness specialist.
- Wellness Foundation for Kids introduces children to movement, creativity, and calming practices through age-appropriate workshops, with its own junior treatment credit.
- Wellness Escape is built for longer stays, starting at eight nights, and gives guests the freedom to move across RXV’s full range of therapies at their own pace rather than following a set program.
Getting to RXV Wellness Village from Australia, the USA, Canada and Europe
RXV Wellness Village is just forty-five minutes from Bangkok, making it an easy add-on to a wider Thailand itinerary or a standalone stay. Guests travelling from Australia, the USA, Canada and Europe typically fly into Bangkok or via Singapore.
We arrange every part of your journey, from your international flights through to the final transfer, working across multiple currencies so pricing is clear no matter where you’re departing from. If you’d like to add a stopover along the way, we can include that too, whether for a night or several days.
RXV Wellness Village Accommodation

There are 83 rooms and suites across Classic, Contemporary, and Neo design styles . Each one reflecting a harmonious blend of traditional Thai craftsmanship and modern comfort. I stayed in a riverside suite, and waking each morning to the quiet movement of the Tha Chin River below, framed by tropical foliage, was a genuinely restorative way to begin each day.
The rooms are thoughtfully designed calm, uncluttered, and oriented toward the natural environment rather than away from it. Wooden floors, natural fabrics, and warm lighting create an atmosphere of quiet elegance that complements the wellness focus beautifully. This is not a property trying to dazzle with extravagance, the rooms are comfortable and functional, I enjoyed reading on the balcony in the afternoon.
The Treatments and Therapies
RXV’s 4,000 square metre wellness centre is divided into three distinct zones the Wellness Clinic, GAYA (physical wellness), and JAI (mental wellness) . Together they offer over 250 treatments spanning Traditional Thai, Chinese, Ayurvedic, therapeutic spa, energy healing, physiotherapy, and anti-ageing medicine. The breadth is extraordinary, and the quality is consistent throughout.
Personal Training

One of the real standout experiences of my stay was working with James one of the personal trainers. James brought a level of expertise, energy and genuine engagement . Our sessions together were challenging, precise and tailored entirely to my body and my goals.
I also joined James for private Pilates sessions in the GAYA studio, and these were excellent. He has a rare ability to communicate movement principles in a way that’s accessible and immediately applicable, adjusting cues and exercises in real time with the kind of attentive eye that only comes from genuine expertise. For anyone visiting RXV with a fitness or movement focus, booking private sessions with James should be your first priority.
Dining and Food Philosophy

Food at RXV follows the Rainbow Food philosophy, a nutrition framework built around organic, phytonutrient-rich, locally sourced ingredients that are as visually striking as they are nourishing. The estate’s own Patom Organic Farm supplies the kitchen directly, and the connection between what’s growing in the garden and what appears on the plate comes through in every meal.
I was pleasantly surprised by the range and creativity of the menu. This isn’t the austere, joyless food that wellness retreats sometimes serve in the name of health. At RXV, meals are genuinely delicious: vibrant, colourful Thai and international dishes that satisfy fully while supporting the body’s cleansing and recovery processes. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river, with a fresh juice, tropical fruit and warm congee from the kitchen, was one of the simple pleasures I looked forward to each morning.
The RXV Café is also worth a mention a quiet, shaded space beside the gardens offering lighter meals, healthy drinks and the best cold-pressed juices I had during my stay.
Contrast Therapy: Bor Naam Hydrotherapy Garden

RXV’s Bor Naam hydrotherapy garden is one of the property’s most distinctive offerings, and one I returned to every day of my stay. The circuit moves guests through a sequence of temperatures: warm vitality pool, oxygen bath, soda pool, cold plunge pool, steam room and experience shower, creating a real physiological effect that goes well beyond simple relaxation.
Contrast therapy, the deliberate alternation between hot and cold environments, is one of the most evidence-based wellness interventions available, shown to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, speed muscle recovery and support the nervous system. At RXV, the Bor Naam circuit sits within a lush garden setting that makes it as beautiful as it is effective. I’d recommend it highly, particularly after a personal training session with James.

Daily Activities
Beyond the swimming pool, personal training and the Bor Naam circuit, there are also several classes a day think Yoga , sound healing, Tai Chi and circuit training.
RXV’s heritage gardens, river walks and organic farm offer plenty to explore between sessions. If your stay includes a weekend, the Sampran organic farmers’ market nearby is well worth a visit, with herb stalls, tropical fruit and local producers making for a genuinely enjoyable few hours.
